Petrolimex Singapore Pte Ltd (PLS) was established under Decision No. 625/XD-QD-HĐQT dated October 23, 2009 of the Board of Directors of Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation (now the Vietnam National Petroleum Group), charter capital 15 million USD, 100% owned by Petrolimex. The company officially went into operation on November 17, 2009; upgraded from a Petrolimex Branch in Singapore since 2004, with the main production and business activities of the Company focusing mainly on the following fields: Trading in Gasoil, Gasoline, Jet A1/Kerosene, Fuel oil and other petroleum products; Chartering; Agency service; and Bunker.
Over the years, the Company has made great efforts in business activities, increased sale, always met and exceeded the plan, maintained its reputation in the regional market, and enhanced Petrolimex's brand in the international market. In recent years, the company has always exceeded all assigned targets, maintaining a growth rate of nearly 20% per year for sales outside the Group. Total sales in recent 7 years reached over 24 million (m3.tons) with the proportion sold outside the Group at more than 60%; profit reached more than 22 million USD.
In addition, the company has deeply engaged in the petroleum and financial markets of the region. The markets where the company has supplied goods including: Bangladesh, SriLankan, Nepal, Myanmar, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore, Cambodia.... The company is also known as a forerunner, searching and evaluating potential investment projects for the Group as well as its member companies abroad such as: Petroleum Pipeline Construction Project for SriLankan National Petroleum Company; Myanmar Lubricant Factory Project; Project Building a retail system in Nepal, …
