Water Filtration Equipment Distribution Program – Actions for the Community and a Clean, Green Environment

As a member of Vietnam National Petroleum Group, Petrolimex Singapore is committed not only to the development of international petroleum commercial activities but also to social responsibility, actively contributing to humanitarian efforts and community support.

On the morning of February 20, 2025, Vietnam National Petroleum Group, Petrolimex Singapore Pte Ltd, Lai Chau Petroleum Company, and the Lai Chau Women's Union organized a water filtration equipment distribution program – an action for the community and climate change adaptation for households affected by natural disasters in Than Uyen district, Lai Chau province.

Attending the event were representatives of Vietnam National Petroleum Group; Mr. Bui Ngoc Thach Anh, Chairman of Petrolimex Singapore; Mr. Bui Duc Thanh - CFO of Petrolimex Singapore; Mr. Tran Duy Anh - Youth Union Secretary of Petrolimex Singapore; the Chairman and Director of Petrolimex Lai Chau; leaders of the Lai Chau Women's Union; the People's Committee of Than Uyen district, along with representatives from various specialized departments and people from the communes of Ta Mung, Muong Kim, Phuc Than, and Muong Than.

In his address at the event, Mr. Bui Ngoc Thach Anh, Chairman of Petrolimex Singapore, stated: "In response to the Group's Carbon Neutral Action Program, aiming for a net-zero target by 2050, today's event not only holds humanitarian significance but also marks an important milestone – the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam National Petroleum Group in 2026. Today, Vietnam National Petroleum Group, Lai Chau Construction and Petroleum Company, and Petrolimex Singapore are present in Than Uyen town to donate 700 water filters to help people access clean and environmentally friendly water sources, contributing to improving the health and livelihoods of the community and also helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions for a greener, cleaner environment."

The program donated 700 water filters to the people of Than Uyen district with the aim of helping residents access safe drinking water, protecting health, and preventing diseases. This is also part of Petrolimex Singapore’s efforts to combat climate change.

Petrolimex Singapore is committed to supporting the community and is the first unit of the Group to conduct an audit of the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC) system. The company expects to complete this process in the near future, marking an important step in its goal to reduce emissions and protect the environment.

This event of donating 700 water filters not only holds humanitarian significance but also marks a special milestone celebrating the 70th anniversary of Vietnam National Petroleum Group in 2026. These water filters also contribute to generating carbon credits, supporting the Group’s Carbon Neutral Action Program and the goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

Through these activities, Petrolimex Singapore demonstrates its commitment not only in business operations but also in social responsibility, contributing to building a healthy community and a sustainable environment for future generations.
